Larry and his wife Ro moved up north from Dearborn in 1969, where Larry was a police officer and Ro worked for Ford. The goal was a life outside the city for their young family. Larry grew the business from a small marina with two employees to one of the largest boat, pwc, atv, and snowmobile dealerships in Northern Michigan. While Larry was the face of the business, Ro worked behind the scenes managing the books and a household with three daughters. Today the family business is owned and operated by Larry and Ro's daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ty. Larry & Ro's youngest daughter is a key employee at the dealership and the oldest daughter lives nearby (working at the elementary school). Along with a loyal, dedicated staff of 30+ people, Burt Lake Marina's mission to provide excellent products, meaningful employment, and first-class customer service continues. We're proud to help generations of customers make lifetime memories on our beautiful lakes and trails!

We welcome Avery West to the BLM family. The West family recently purchased the business from Ty & Lisa (Renaud) LaPrairie.
Avery brings a wealth of powersports accessory experience and has already enhanced our Ship's Store selection! She recently added Sun Bum, Toadfish, Handed By recycled totes, Bling Sauce, and Goodr sunglasses to our Showroom. And there's more where that came from. Stay tuned!
